Wenn ich neue 4 tb usb hdds habe, wie z.b. die WD media my book sichere ich vor dem umformatieren auf ext4 (linux) die beipack-software rutner. vielleicht kann man die eines tages noch rbauchen (vmtl. nicht, aber egal)
bei den My Books kommt immer "cp: Zugriff auf /media/My Book/locale nicht möglich. Eingabe/Ausgabefehler". Scheint eine Art Kpierschutz zu sein. Weiß jemand näheres?

Einen "Eingabe/Ausgabefehler" hatte ich auch schon beim Zugriff auf bestimmte Verzeichnisse. Ist aber schon länger her und ich erinnere mich nicht mehr, wobei das war.
Hast du es mal mit anderen Dateimanagern oder Harddisk Management Tools versucht ?
